Hi 👋, this is Aziz

Software engineer with 3+ years of experience specializing in machine learning and backend systems. I am a problem solver with a neck for taking on complex technical problems and finding solutions from a business perspective. Love to take ownership and work autonomously. I have a solid background in data preprocessing, model training, inference, and deployment. I am particularly interested in building backend systems to scale.

Currently pursuing my master’s in applied computer science at Grand Valley State University, I am also working as a graduate assistant and solving a real-life problem by automating software test generation using Generative AI. My previous experiences involved NLP (natural language understanding i.e. intent and entity recognition, QA models), Computer Vision (object detection, age-gender prediction, OCR), Feature engineering, and clustering.

I have also been building containerized backend systems with Flask, Fast API, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, etc. Can turn into a React frondend developer if necessary
